Delta's Refurbished 767-400s On Which Int'l Routes

Sun Mar 04, 2007 3:15 am

Good morning,

I know Delta is putting the new BizElite seats and PTV in every seat in the 767-400ERs as they take them on International routes. Can anyone tell me:

a) On which international routes does Delta operate the 767-400ER?
b) How many of these international routes already see the new refurbished product?
c) What future international routes will see this new 767-400ER?
d) Are they converting all 767-400ERs to international config?
e) How many of them have been completed so far?

Please do bear in mind when replying that these questions pertain to only the international routes served. Thank you in advance for your replies.

A total of 8 (out of 21) 767-400ERs will be converted to international configuration (i.e., with 42 Business Class seats, AVOD PTVs at every seat). As of today, 4 of the 8 have been refurbished and #5 is in the shop.
The two current routes using the refurbished 764ERs are:

DL 22 ATL-CDG (ongoing)
DL147 ATL-SCL (current - until 20 May)

Upcoming usage

DL 130 ATL-MUC (March 13 - May 31)
DL 74 ATL-MXP (starting March 26)
DL 12 ATL-LGW (starting April 17)
DL114 ATL-BCN (starting May 2)
DL 64 ATL-MAN (starting May 21)
DL108 ATL-MAD (starting May 22)
DL 28 ATL-CDG (starting June 1)

DL 130 ATL-MUC (March 13 - May 31)

Why only during that period ?
Exceptions confirm the rule.

As of now, Delta is converting eight 767-400s to international configuration. However, if more international capacity is needed, Delta may convert more in 2008.

As far as I know, there are currently three aircraft converted (N838MH, N839MH, and N840MH). I think N841MH is currently undergoing the conversion.

I think it is a sure thing DL will eventually convert them all.

Looks like the 764ER for MUC is being pulled Jun 1 for the 2nd ATL-CDG.

No, as already stated above, 4 of them are done (N838-N841MH); #5 (N842MH) is now in the shop.

JFK-SNN (and ATL-SNN, ATL-FCO (DL76), CVG-FCO) will all use the domestic 767-400 (i.e., unreconfigured). The whole aircraft is being sold as Coach and full-fare passengers as well as Medallion members will get first choice of the domestic First seats.
