Flying To SIN With BA, Can Take Only 1 Luggage?

Mon Mar 05, 2007 7:29 am

Hey everyone, Im kind of puzzled by something here.

Im flying with BA early tomorrow morning to SIN and while I was checking my eticket email I noticed the writing "BAGS: 1PC" then went on to check the BA Checked Baggage restriction to see that World/Euro Travellers can only check-in one luggage (Except the Americas & Nigeria) can anyone confirm? Im going to singapore for 5 months and I already packed up a backpack and a trolley bag....

BTW, The flight is ac onnecting flight CMN-LHR-SIN

Thnx

From the BBC:

The rules will not be fully enforced until 30 September - and those who find a single bag too unwieldy are exempt.

Probably the best way to deal with this is by flying someone else--and make sure BA is aware of the reason!

I think they're waiting to see what the public reaction is.

Couldn't agree more. It's important to vote with our feet to ensure such idiotic industry trials are nipped in the bud. Do I charge the airline if I am waiting more than 5 mins at check in, if my IFE is not working, if my seat can't recline, if they are late, etc, etc???

Come on guys...on all major routes there are a plethora of other options for travel which will be similarly priced and perhaps a better standard than BA. Ensure you travel with an airline which at least gives you the impression that they value your business.
