Aerosvit KBP-LWO Vv. With Yakolev 42?

Fri Mar 16, 2007 3:02 am

Aerosvit it self doesn't have YK2 anymore. Who does the KBP-LWO vv. segment for them or where did they get this aircraft from? Or did they indicate the wrong equipment in the CRS and the flight is operated by a 737?

Hard to say. I have now checked different GDS's and they all says YK2. Maybe they have wetleased the aircraft from another Ukrainian carrier. I was in KBP last summer and I observed just B737's of Aerosvit and Air Ukraine as well as lot of Boeing's and Airbuses from Western European carriers.
Just love flying

Well yes, Amadeus says YK2. The website of aerosvit says they only operate with a mix of 737. So I really wonder what I will get next month on this route.

I would imagine it is Lviv Airlines as they are a Yak-42 operator, although their winter schedule shows an AN-24 on the LWO-KBP route. In summer it probably switched to the larger, faster aircraft. Their website leaves a lot to be desired, but the company has been around awhile.

I have received a mail from a non a.net member quoting following website:

Looks like DonBassAero operated the route for VV.
