No way. Data protection I'm afraid. Even if you are a very close relative an airline will not tell you if somebody is on the flight. It would also pose a security risk if they released that sort of information.

The only way of getting that information is if you are a policeman with ID at the airline counter or if you happened to work at the airline that the passenger flew on then you could look at the reservation system/flight list.

Data protection ... however, I once asked a LH staff on a gate in FRA if one of my coworkers has yet checked in for a flight to Berlin, she hesitated first, a little flirting helped and she admitted that "yes, he has checked in and will be sitting on seat XX"

Usually if your name is included in the reservation, or listed in the record as a meeting party (i.e UMNR or MAAS), they can/do dilvuge the info.

Correct. Some airlines used to spill the beans if you could give them the credit card number that was used tro pay for the ticket. I think this practice ended after a few too many "randy" genetlemen were busted by their wives!
Tired of airline bankruptcies....EA/PA/TW and finally DL.

... call 'em up on their mobile phone! If it's off, chances are they're on the flight, if it's still on, and they're on the flight, well, it'll teach 'em to turn it off next time!!  Smile

Sure it was for me ... but the LH staff definitely broke Data protection laws here (or at least LH internal regulations)
However it appears she checked some facts beforehand (REALLY a coworker) booked throgh the same travel agency, asked me more about him, and so on.
