There are 10 jumpseats on the 762. 3 in the front, 2 in the middle (one on the left side, two on the right) and 4 in the aft area.

The most F/As we fly it with now is 9.

I'd think that a good number of crew to have on a 762. At QF we only have 7 on our 763s; it's a nightmare when full!!!

Damn!!! We're grateful for what we have. We have 8 on our 762s and 10 on our 764s.

Oh yeah!!!! Imagine 4 crew in Y class for 224 pax. Sounds ridiculous, but it's the realitly at QF. I've been on flights where not everyone gets served; also been on flights where we've been securing carts in the galley as the landing gear is extended for landing!!!

CO does have a good amount of F/A's. I think it works best on the 757's that have 6 F/A 's. I just came back from europe on a CO 757 and was expecting the worst from all I've read. I think the service can actually be better with one aisle. In Y there are bathrroms on both ends of the cabin so the cart is not usually in the way. The F/A's have acces to all passengers when walking down the single aisle, for example when they are passing out water midflight one F/A can do this alone. In other words that single aisle is always being serviced even during breaks and busy times. I also had a spectacular crew that went above and beyond, I literally don't think there was a minute that some sort of service was not being offered in a very polite but also effecient manner. Sorry if I went a little OT

At least some sense has been applied to short sector meal flights, with an extra F/A making 8 on a GE. On Melbourne-Canberra we are up to 9!

Yes you're right. We get 2 extra crew on short sector dinner flights on the GE. MEL-CBR on the GE always has 9. Would be nice to always have 9 though.
