the one problem with having different tail designs for each aircraft is that special liveries are harder to spot! ( unless your an anet member!)

Way to go jetBlue, but the tail livery-look is the same as PIA´s;

I had no idea that JetBlue had gotten that big to have over 100 jets. That basically means they're a major airline now, and one of the largest A320 series operators in the world. Amazing for an airline that didn't exist 10 years ago.

UA technically has 39, as 57 were shipped over to TED... at least thats what www.airfleets.net says...

Without getting nasty, without starting a major JetBlue debate, and...no, this post is not an anti-JetBLue remark:

Is the 100th A320 delivered to JetBlue or do they now have 100 A320s in operation? As some know, JetBLue sold off a number of A320s (was it 5?) last year to slow down growth and to address revenue issues.

In any case, good luck to JetBLue, its quite an achievement considering that they are still a young airline and that they have survived a very difficult period in commerical aviaiton history.

I wonder, are they counting this 100th as the 100th delivered to them or that they currently operate, as they've given back a few this year (now flying with Blue Wings amongst others).

jetBlue acquired major status quite some time ago. A major airline is any airline with $1b in annual revenue.

Ted is United. They are not different airlines, or operated by different crews, or scheduled differently, or anything. So technically, United still has all those A320s.

Someone with more knowledge at B6 may be able to clarify - from what I remember they have somewhere in the ballpark of 93-95 A320's running. This would be the 100th delivered.

That'd be kind of hard to keep track of...if you sold off one more, then would they peel the sticker off this one and put it on the next one delivered...

I believe it's 100 in operation. When we sold off the older 320s, I don't think we had 100 in the fleet at that time (pre-sale). So, though we may have taken delivery of more than 100 A320s in our 7 year history, right now this would be the first time we will have 100 of them operating on any given day. Good stuff! Can't wait to see her in person.

Marketing can go a long way  wink . Plus, from a business standpoint, Ted's model is different than that of UA mainline. Much like Song was different than Delta. However, their crews came from the same parent company, and were trained on the same aircraft. So, on paper, Ted is a separate entity (hence the fleet info), but in operations, they are one and the same - at least with regards to crews/maintenance.
