british airways, cathay ,singapore ..any that use the sleeping pods ...long haul flights are in fact less stressful than short flight when you can change in to pajamas and feel a nights sleep even if it is with the help of an ambien (sleeping pill)...

these flights have been so comfortable that i really didnt want to leave .....taking a light flannell personal blanket also helps...move in make the space your own drink plenty of water between glasses of proper wine and use the evian atomizer face spray...

they say AA is going to catch up ..we will see...the graciousness of asian service is also an added treat a lovely woman or a pleasant gay steward can make all the difference ..some of the old broads on american carriers need to go back to finishing school...

and god knows the frenc attendants are rude
the finns are lovely

British has sleepers, and Swiss Air has superior service. The sleepers do not
help when flying during the day LHR-JFK. I gather there are a couple of
other airlines that have sleepers too, which is good only when doing a late
night out of JFK (or the U.S   ) to LHR etc...

Swissair has a brand new first class on almost all A 330 and MD 11 (4 MD 11 with old first, phased out in 2002).
You can turn your seats to real beds, 60cm x 200cm (apro.: 2 x 6 feet 10'). The configuration is (on 330 and MD 11): 1-1/1-1.

When it comes to First Class seating, I think British Airway's amazing Club Class seats are probably the best in the world. They're definitely worth it if you're flying a long route like LHR-SFO.

Which does remind me: has BA installed Club Class seating on their 777-200ER's?

My vote goes to British Airways and Singapore. Although I'm not a fan of American, their new Flagship Suites look promising. Time will tell. Dont forget BA has the best business class now too with their new flatbed seats in Club Wolrd!!!

I think both Japanese carriers have one of the best first class seats but I think SINGAPORE and JAL take the cheese since the JAL SOLO it is like an office in the air with all the comfort of first calss cabin

The First Class sleeper seats (not the suites) on United's three class 767 transcontinenal flights (JFK-LAX/SFO) are quite comfortable, and the personal video players are nice.
