A380 At AMS, When?

Tue Mar 27, 2007 11:08 pm

Hi all,

I remember a few weeks ago that someone mentioned that the A380 would visit AMS in April, probably 19 April.

Since AMS will be one of the airports in Europe receiving the A380 when it enters service I was wondering when it will really come to AMS for testing.

Anyone out there with more info?

MUC and LIS and EMA get to see the A380 without the A380 actually ever flying there in commercial service, so why wouldn't it be visiting to AMS?

Cheers,

Yep, and according to sources just like that it has visited about 5-10 times before.... In other words, don't get excited until Airbus confirms it!

highly unlikely. The new terminal which is needed to handle them is only in initial planning stages, the taxiways can't handle it, and I think not all the runways can even handle it (at least loaded to the gills with cattle and bags).
