Is There A 747, A380 Picture

Wed Mar 28, 2007 5:50 am

I've done a quick search of the photos on A.net and I have not been able to find a good picture that has both the 747 and the A380 in it. I'm hoping to see one so that I may be able to get some perspective on how large the A380 is. By any chance, does anyone know where I can find a picture like that?

On a side note, I wonder if Airbus has gone out of it's way to prevent the opportunity to have such a picture taken?

Also there was a picture of one in the papers recently taxiing on the runway by with a 744 on the taxiway waiting to enter.

I thought the same thing, however, halfway down the page I found what I was looking for. NW748i posted a shot that has both aircraft on the tarmac together. However, the angle of the shot creates a perspective that almost makes the 747 look bigger. So far the pic that Keesje posted in reply 2 does the trick. It truly illustrates the size difference in the wing and engines.

I look forward to an aerial shot that shows both aircraft on the tarmac. That will really make it the difference obvious.

Thanks for the posts folks, they have been quite helpful.

Someone should add an A343 below those two. Then you can see who the hairdryers are.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the 747 was still farther away in the shot than the A380 was, at the time both pictures were taken.

There's one artists rendering here of the A380 and 747 at an airport.

We need to throw an AN-225 into the mix and see all the monster planes of the world side by side.
