Pilots have been lying about medical conditions, in significant numbers, ever since the first pilot's licenses were issued. It is one of the very few professions where this is possible - in most professions if you are medically unfit it is soon obvious from one's job performance. I can see how some congressperson could make hay out of this but.....has there been a crash of a commercial jetliner recently where a hidden medical condition was a contributing factor? I don't remember any. Or could a pilot keep a medical condition hidden even after a crash, to avoid prosecution? Can't see how that would be possible, given the extent of post-crash investigations....
