Rumor: Another Airline To Add ACK-JFK

Wed Mar 28, 2007 10:42 am

I heard today that another airline will be announcing seasonal ACK-JFK service tomorrow with 2 daily ERJ's. My guess is a DL or AA affiliate...anyone know anything about this?

So lets see. CO with EWR-ACK with 2 E135's, B6 JFK-ACK with 190's and now this. Is this alot of seats?
Doors open, right hand side, next stop is Springfield.

CO has 3 daily ERJ-145's to EWR, US has 6-7 daily Saabs and Dash-8's to LGA, and B6 with the E190 to JFK. That is a ton of seats, but this is in addition to B6. I know both AA and DL are trying to beef up service out of JFK, that's why I thought it could be one of them.

Holy cow. Did not know that one either.

Diddnt know it was daily AND the 145... dang. I thought it was seasonal.

How can ACK sustain all this service?

It is seasonal. US serves ACK year round though with 2-3 flights to LGA on B1900's. You could fill a couple of 737's on a Sunday in August out of ACK if the price was right.

This doesn't surprise me. B6's lowest fare on the route is $154, which is an amazing yield. Seats must be selling rather strongly.
