CHC/BNE By 772!

Thu Mar 29, 2007 5:19 pm

NZ1201 14JUL CHC/BNE 1230/1410 is being operated by a B777-200 !!!

Does 4 digit flight number mean it is a 1 off ?

Guess it's at the end of Queensland school holidays & lots of people heading home from the NZ snow.

4 digit flight num with a 1 at the front usually indicates a one-off or ad-hoc flight. You usually see NZ1060/1061 to and from APW at Xmas as well, usually flown by a 744.

Wow! I really wanna fly on that one. Probably a 1 off, but you never know BNE is soon (In the next 4 years I heard) going to become a bigger airport than MEL (Passengers) so it could stay. CHC is beatiful!

When and where is the Bledesloe Cup this year? Probably a rugby charter. It is a Saturday.

Its not a charter. Charter flights usually start with a 6 and are 4 didgits long.

Apparently there are some large school groups from BNE coming home then, eg. 160, 80 & 70 from just 3 private schools.

Now that no advantage in flying same airline & back (ie. return fare is just 2 x 1 ways), probably better for NZ to get the business than it going to QF.

Melbourne and Auckland again. If my memory serves right, the tri-nations is shorter this year because the world cup is nearing.

And is 5 hours enough to get from the airport through security etc for a 7:35 kickoff? I would make it leave earlier to cater for delays etc.
It's all about the destination AND the journey.
