On March 30, 1987 an Alaska Airlines 737 taking off from JNU had a mid-air collision with a fish.
The plane fared much better than the fish, but did not escape a slight dent.
An eagle that was carrying the fish had dropped the fish on the plane. The eagle evidently lived to pass on genes to a descendant that would one day try to carry the head of a deer.
A nice retelling of the original story may be found here.
