AI Predicts Ticket Prices

Fri Mar 30, 2007 11:01 pm

In this article from MIT's "Technology Review", they talk about how an artificial intelligence algorithm has been used to predict whether airline ticket prices will go up or down in the near future. They can advise people whether to buy now or wait.

Being an AI developer and programmer who happens to not only love the airline industry but is programming a simulation/game as well, I got a kick out of this!  thumbsup

no offence , but perhaps you should consider amending your title ? I am sure that I am not the only person to read "AI" as Air India rather than artificial intelligence  Smile

Ouch. Sorry, people. In my world, AI is almost a word rather than an acronym. I assume I am too late to edit the title?

Yup, I got driven in here by the same title about Air India lol. I thought to myself: and how's that going to be?!?!

Anyway, sounds like something that could be very useful to both frequent and leisure travellers.

Hope it's available and easy to use for everyone.
