BOM To DEL On Jet Airways - A340?

Mon Apr 02, 2007 4:06 pm

I am scheduled to fly from Bombay to Delhi on April 5th and noticed that my flight is to be operated by A340. Is that normal or is the A340 being moved from BOM to DEL for a later international flight?

Yes, they generally rotate their aircrafts, it generally takes place about 3 times a week.

Just confirm whether or not you have to check in at the domestic or international terminal

What a pain in the rear flight in terms of wasted time. But the flight itself is quite nice.

In Bombay you check-in at the domestic terminal and then bussed over to the international side to board the plane. Once you arrive in Delhi, the plane is parked near the international terminal and then you spend a good 20 mins taking a ride over to the domestic terminal (all on airside).

Amazingly the entire plane was full. Perhaps the next day was good Friday and lot more people were commuting to Delhi due to the longer weekend.
