Don't know if anyone saw John Travolta on the 'Friday Night with Jonathon Ross' last Friday, but he had John Travolta on the show, who said that he had flown his Qantas B707 over to London, for his interview and other publicity events.
Does anyone know where he would have landed it? I can't imagine it being Heathrow, due to slots.
Perhaps RAF Northolt? Farnborough? Biggin Hill? (Although I don't think the latter has a long enough runway?)
On Saturday, John travolta landed in BSL as he was the guest in the German show Wetten das! The show was held in Freiburg which isn't too far from there. Here are some pictures taken from the Swiss Aviation thread!
On his return from Germany, the jet had "technical problems" and diverted to Shannon. Not sure if the entertainment press can be trusted because it's good PR for a star to "escape death" but sources claim Travolta was very worried that if he didn't make Shannon they would have crashed.
He then chartered a jet for the rest of the trip home to the States while the 707 was repaired.
Of all the things to worry about... the Wookie has no pants.
Irish media report that this aircraft was still at Shannon on Monday night, due to an engine related problem, requiring further work. Mr Travolta was continuing his journey to the USA yesterday morning by an (unspecified) private jet.
