Rolls-Royce said CIT Aerospace was buying the Trent 700 to power four firm orders, and seven options, for Airbus A330 planes, and the Trent 1000 for two firm Boeing 787s on order and options to equip three additional 787s.
Question: it is the first time that I hear about CIT having options on both the A330 and B787. Looking at Airbus´ O&D spreadsheet I see that so far 10 out of 25 firm A330s have been delivered. Anyone able to indicate what engines the remaing 15 on order are having? And anyone able to clarify the options? Are those new, or when were they taken?
