MD-80 In Iran, How Many?

Thu Apr 05, 2007 4:09 am

Kish Air, Qeshm Air, Mahan Air are all operating MD-80's, but I don't know the exact numbers...
Can anyone provide how many MD-80's by which airline are flying in Iran?
Thanks a lot.

Kish: 4 MD-83s
Mahan: 2 MD-80s

That's all I can find.

Quoting MD90fan (Reply 2):
Queshm Air : 2 MD-83

Both are back with World Focus Airlines

  • Eram Air: 1 MD-82 (49144) [from Tarhan Air]
  • Kish Air: 3 MD-82 (49218, 49277, 49432*) [from Bulgarian Air Charter]
  • Kish Air: 3 MD-83 (49572, 49844, 53150) [from Bulgarian Air Charter]
  • Mahan Air: 2 MD-83 (49569, 49930) [from Bulgarian Air Charter]

* = on repair

Eram Air had a second MD-82 from Tarhan Air, but it is back with the Turkish carrier. I think that MSN 49144 shortly also will be back in the Turkey.

One of the two Qeshm Air MD-83 (MSN 53185) is now in service with Iran Air Tours. The other aircraft will join the fleet shortly.

Ahhh, I miss the old the white and blue Spirit Livery. I definately preferred it over the new black and silver "Raiders" livery they have now. Just my $.02.

Wrong information. LZ-LDR is 49277 and not 49550.

49550 still flies as I-DAVR with Alitalia

Let me know if the Iranians need a 2003 Ford F-150.
