A Pilot/Sky Diver/and Friend Dies In Plane Crash..

Sat Jul 29, 2000 1:04 pm

A good friend of mine died in a plane crash last Tuesday the 18th (Clint Ford) While flying his personal plane down in Moab, UT through the canyons, looking for new base jumping spots. A wing clipped the canyon wall and the plane went into the wall exploding on impact. His funeral was today in Brush, CO where he lived for most of his life. Today would have been his 22nd Birthday, But instead his funeral. He was a good friend of mine who said that we were going to go flying after he returned from his trip from Moab, UT. The DZO (Drop Zone Owner) flew the staff who knew him from Longmont, CO the Brush, CO for the services on the Biz Jet (King Air 90). For him I thank him.

I will miss you Clint!

Oh man, I'm so sorry you had to lose your friend that way. There's not alot I can say, I have a pretty good idea how you feel though. My dad used to know this guy Steve, and he came over once a week just to have fun with us all. Shortly after he got married, he joined the military. Upon removing his target for the practice field, somone accidentally shot him in the head. That quick, a friend that was so close to us was taken away forever, and that pain was very bad.
Hang in there, and good luck.
My deepest sorrows,

We have all known someone in our lives who has been killed in a plane crash. Knock on wood, I haven't.

I can feel your pain. I lost a great confidant to cancer late last year. It was my old HS guidence councelor. Even though I had graduated from HS last year, he still remained a great friend. If I had ever had a problem, I would email him from school and he'd give me advice on life's problems. When he died it felt like a big part of me died too. I had no one really to turn to when I needed advice.

Since that time I have been able to move on and grow. However, I will always feel that loss.

My strongest condolences.

I lost my best friend on PAN AM 103 and some relatives in the Air India bombing off the Irish coast. Loosing loved ones in a horrble way can have alot of emotional on you but within time and help from family and friends you can learn to put this horrble incident behind you and move on with your life without feeling depressed for the the rest of your life. You have my sincere condolences on the loss of your friend.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I know what you're going thru. I lost my best friend in April 1999. He was only 24. Although he was a pilot, he died in a truck accident. It's such a shock at such a young age, but it gets easier with time.

I hope you have friends and family to help you thru the hard times. They help immensely.

In your thoughts.

Matt
