What Is It About The Front Gear Of This Plane?

i was looking at that pic, but i wasn't sure what was that thing in the front main landing gear, is that a flat tire?

That is Boeing's gravel runway kit...it prevents gravel from being kicked up by the nosewheel.

It also includes two bleed air outlets in front of the engine intakes whose purpose is to create a vortex in front of the air intake to prevent stray gravel from being injested by the engines...

It looks like the modification for soft fields or dirt runways. Not 100% sure though, will have to look into it...
