Icelandair Gate At Heathrow?

Wed Apr 11, 2007 11:17 am

Hello,

I'm wondering what gate(s) Icelandair typically uses at Heathrow. I understand they recently moved from T2 to T1, and I was hoping for at least which part of T1 they park at. Thanks in advance!

I don't know what specific gate numbers they use, but they use the Europier, along with airlines like Cyprus, SAA and Finnair (and BA/BD European departures).

That is correct, more often than not I have seen the FI parked at stands 238 or 240 (gates 38 or 40).
When in doubt give it a clout

240 is their main stand, and 9 times out of 10 they will park there. Occasionally they'll use other gates, such as 238, or gates on the 'other side' of the Europier, such as 139 and 141. It's very rare to find them anywhere else.

Just a couple of nitpicks - SAA rarely use the Europier, but instead use 125, 127 and 134. CY (morning), LY (evening) and BA use the heavy gates of the Europier for their HKG and JNB flights at the time the SA flights arrive and depart. Finnair tend to use the closest gates on the central pier.  Smile
