I know the following airlines have ordered them :

According to that site NH placed an order for a 777-300ER in 1990 and 1995  Wow! . That's before the first commercial flight of any 777 took place. According to the same site they took delivery of their first 777-300ER in october 2004. What happened (a glitch in the website?)? All other 777-300 orders date from 2000 or later.

Probably a converted order or option.

Go right to the source, Boeing.Com.

Why go right to the source? Better to get a summary here.

N328KF is right: ANA converted two previously signed 777 orders into 773ER after the program was launched.

Maybe it was a conversion of an original 777-200A and an original 777-300A.

Thank you. I wasn't aware that the chart started with the launch of the 777-300ER, but was thinking with the first order. Sometimes aircraft are lauched without an order. The 748i and IIRC the 7E7 were launched with no orders.

Orders for the plane seem to have taken off just after the plane entered service (note the spike in 2005 orders). The aircraft actually exceeded Boeing's specifications, and airlines loved the efficiency and bolted for more of the planes.

Just saw Air Canada's 77W at LHR a few days ago, it looked fantastic.

I knew this looked screwy....and that the orders for the 77W could not have been that much higher in 2005.

I've no idea what you are saying or why that is a reply to my post.
