The Return Of Germania

Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:33 pm

I don't think anyone has posted on this topic yet... I was out spotting over the weekend in Berlin and was pleasantly surprised to catch the arrival of a 737 painted in full Germania colors, probably the first to appear in these colors since 2004. The aircraft in question is an ex-DBA bird, D-AGEK, one of the few ex DBA 737s not to wind up with Air Berlin or TUIfly. Anyone know how many aircraft will wind up rebranded as Germania? Is this the only one? Below are photos taken a month apart of D-AGEK at TXL.

AFAIK there will be two of them painted in GMI colors, operating mainly ethnical flights e.g. to TBS (which are now operated by TUIfly's GMI planes).

Who owns Germania - is it part of AB/dba or independtly owned

And who will be selling these ethnical flights - tour operators, Germania, AB, TUI Fly?
