Need Some History On Piedmont Airlines

Thu Apr 19, 2007 7:59 am

I fly for Piedmont and I'm trying to trace back the family tree. We merged with Allegheny. Allegheny came from where? I know Suburban and maybe Lakes and/or Mohawk merged to make Allegheny.
I know how Piedmont came about but I'm looking for any other mergers/buyouts on the Allegheny side. If you have in additional info on Piedmont I'd like to hear it too. I may be missing some stuff. Any history from any airline that is part of the Piedmont family tree would be helpful.
Thanks guys.

Are you referring to the ORIGINAL Piedmont Airlines or the newer USAirways Express carrier?
The opinions expressed are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of Southwest Airlines.
