Delta Q1 2007 Results

Delta reported Q1 2007 results:

Summary from yahoo as follows:

* Delta's operating profit for the March 2007 quarter was $155
million, the company's fourth consecutive quarterly operating
profit.

* Delta's first quarter net loss was $130 million. Excluding
reorganization items, the net loss was $6 million. 1,2

* On April 16, 2007, Delta announced its creditors overwhelmingly
support the company's plan of reorganization, with more than 95
percent of ballots cast in favor of the plan.

* As of March 31, 2007, Delta had $4.0 billion in cash, cash
equivalents and short-term investments, of which $2.9 billion was
unrestricted.

The available cash keeps getting larger which says this is once again a profitable carrier. Look forward to the announcement of their Chapter 11 exit for April 30th.

I agree with you, but in addition restructuring BK should increase a companies cash reserve.

All the signs are that DL is ready to exit BK, and they are a leaner and better company than they were when they entered into it. With that said, they still have some issues to figure out but they are clearly on the right road.
None shall pass!!!!
