Just Flight A340-600 SA Airways Moment

Mon Apr 23, 2007 11:49 pm

All

I was suffling through before watching in full (havent had time yet) the Just Flight A340-600 SA Airways DVD and there was an inflight moment that caught my attention. Now I dont know for sure as I havent watched it in full but there was a moment when the co pilot was talking to French ATC about the fact that they were in their airspace in a new plane.

Sorry for the lack of details. It struck me a strange as to why ATC were so interested in new planes being in their airspace. The same co pilot also was demonstrating paperwork which had to be signed by the captain saying that a new plane had been in UK airspace.

Could anyone explain to me why ATC take such an interest in these things?

Many thanks

Mark

Yeah I guess so hahahah!

No but seriously there seemed to be an official reason that they were taking an interest and would love to understand why.

Cheers
