Well in air travel, best be safe than a smoldering crater.

I didn't get that.

Would it be less of a shock if it was a A320?

Sarcasm, my friend. Although the reliability of the E190 is probably not as bad as some people on this site might believe, it has definitely had more issues than JetBlue's A320 (which actually have a very high reliability rate).

Apologies...

Date Type Origin Destination Departure Arrival Duration

24-Apr-2007 E190/Q Tampa Int'l (KTPA) Edward Lawrence Logan Int'l (KBOS) 06:58PM EDT 02:05AM EDT (+1) 7:07

What's up with that? 7 hrs TPA-BOS?

Quoting Article:
"To get the same people back on the same plane, that's just unforgivable," said one of the passengers, Seamus Palmer.

What did this guy expect JetBlue to do? To never put this plane into service ever again because there was a problem? To me this is a normal procedure except if the problem is really bad and can't be rapaired immediately.

The press sometimes relates some things that people say in a way that sounds like it the airline almost killed the guy  Silly

The article observes: "Other passengers had the choice of rebooking the flight or getting a refund. All passengers received vouchers for a round trip."

Nobody pointed out the application of the so-called "Passenger Bill of Rights" but they had an avoidable delay and came through with the vouchers.
