Embraer 145XR Line Timetables?

Fri Apr 27, 2007 10:30 am

For those in the know..... about how many 145XR's could Embraer put out in 90 days? And how long does it take to paint a aircraft such as the 145XR?

Just wondering  Smile

As for painting.... it averages 7-10 days. The factory pre-paints the planes and they are assembled fully painted. Production time I'm not too sure on, but the XR is no more special then a standard -145 for production time. My guess would be 14 days or so.....but I'll get you an answer direct from the boys that built it. The XR is also really not in production any more. Expressjet was the only airline to order them and they have taken delivery of all orders

Does Embraer have any 37-50 seat RJ's still in production? They seem to be a dying breed.

Yes... the E135, E140 and E145 are still all in production.... just orders are drying up.

It seems they will probably be concentrating new orders in their assembly line in Harbin, China. Only ERJs over there, no E-jets.

Well, if CAL continues to have problems with the regional side of things, they may opt to restart the -XR production line. That may seem far-fetched, but it's not impossible.
