Airtran Csr/ramp Training

Mon Apr 30, 2007 3:22 am

I recently was interviewed with airtran regarding a csr/ramp position and I am wondering, does anyone know in the training with airtran how extensively you have to do the 70 pound bag test? I know it is a job requirement, but I'm just wondering how huge of a deal it is in training. Thanks!

Yes. I had an informational session in ATL friday and a recruiter went over the discription. Its 2 days ramp, 3 days above the wing.

If it's anything like Air Canada, there's no actual test per se. When I had my medical, I just had a run down of any past injuries and was required to do a few squats and other physical demonstrations. Nothing huge.

You'll go and have it in the ATL airport right in the terminal. It is awful boring. You move a bag of rocks around for 15 minutes, lift 50lbs onto a shelf above your head and do a bunch of other tests.

Like a 70 pund bag of rocks? They just make you drag it around the terminal with poise and grace.
