British Airways At PHX

Tue May 01, 2007 5:43 am

I have been wondering for a long time how BA does on the PHX-LHR route. Having never flown it I have never been able to see the loads first hand (I normally fly PHX-SFO/LAX-LHR on UA). I would assume that it is a pretty strong performer however. Being that Phoenix is such a large city and growing so much, in terms of companies and tourists, one would guess that it is a money maker for them. I remember when LH served PHX, BA brought their 777 and when LH pulled out BA put the 744 on this run pretty quick. Any chance on making it daily? If anyone can give some info on the load factors, it would be very helpful. I have a feeling that they will not be the only carrier with non-stop service from the Arizona capital to Europe for much longer........

Your thoughts?

Quoting SiouxATC (Thread starter):

It operates every day except Wednesday, so that is pretty close to daily, especially since mid-week flights aren't as full.

PHX will probably see more international service when US gets some more widebodies.

I flew with BA to LHR back in November 2006 and the flight was full both ways. It's definitely the most interesting plane to visit PHX!

I flew on it yesterday, and it was full in Y - not sure about club and first, though.
