In a related filing, US Airways has applied for the seven available fifth-freedom frequencies on HKG-SIN, so that it may offer codeshare flights to local traffic on that route.
In the initial codeshare announcement, there were additional codeshare routes announced, but these will not be implemented immediately. US Airways will now codeshare with Star Alliance partners United, Lufthansa, Spanair, bmi, TAP Portugal, and Singapore Airlines, with a codeshare agreement with Air China to be finalized in the near future. US Airways also codeshares with Lufthansa's partners Air One, Air Dolomiti, and Eurowings, and with GoCaribbean Network members Bahamasair and WINAIR.
