EU/US Open Skies Now Official

Tue May 01, 2007 7:34 am

BBCNews reports that both sides have signed the Open Skies deal announced in March.

So, so called "Fortress Heathrow" is no more!

will RDU finally get it's FRA and CDG flights? perhaps as a through flight? (FRA-RDU-XXX or FRA-RDU-CDG-RDU-FRA)??

I could become an LHR route, but the thing is that probably, due to the contracts between the company that buys the seats for this flight an AA, this flight would contractually stay in LGW.

Good riddance, Bermuda II! The world doesn't need anticompetitive bilaterals like Bermuda II.

I'd imagine it would, since GSK is supposedly the big client, and their big office is off the A4 about 15 minutes from Heathrow.

Can airlines announce routes and schedules before the March '08 start date?

Doesn't this agreement have to be approved by the US Congress?
