Guy Living 18 Years In CDG Terminal

Mehran Karimi Nasseri مهران کریمی ناصری also known as Sir, Alfred Mehran [sic], is an Iranian refugee who lived in the departure lounge of Terminal One in Charles de Gaulle Airport from 8 August 1988 until August of 2006 when he was hospitalized for an unspecified ailment....

I've actually seen the guy at CDG and read his story some place else. Pretty amazing really and I hope he get's better.

I did 18 or 19 years in Terminal 3 at LHR once trying to check in for a GF flight to BAH, or it seemed that long ............

Imagine though. . .

Of the countless airline terminals in the world, you end up stranded for years in Charles de Gaulle - Terminal 1 - possibly the singular worst airport terminal that was ever created. Talk about tough luck.

Did the guy have money to buy food? Where did he take a bath? And how was he able to elude the authorities,such as airport police or airport security for so many years? I never saw "The Terminal" flick,maybe that movie could possibly answer some of my questions.
