Bush's Plane

Wed Aug 02, 2000 11:07 pm

Sorry to those not in the United States, this won't matter to you. This morning on CNN Headline News, I saw George W. Bush getting off a plane in PHL. It had red, white, and blue horizontal stripes and it said Bush above the stripes. Does anyone know what the plane it, and who owns it.

I, too, saw that plane. It is a Boeing 727-200. I was also wondering to whom the plane is registered. Perhaps it is on loan from Delta or American...or even quite possibly Continental (?), all of which are in Texas.

It was probably a birthday present from daddy.

It sounds like a modified AA 722. Especially if the top of the fuselage has a chrome-like finish.

Ray,
When I saw the plane on TV, I was merely interested in seeing the "N" number. However, I could have sworn the entire plane was painted white with a larger Boeing house colors stripe under the windows.
I still want to know what that "N" number is.

I'm almost sure American or Delta doesn't lease out aircraft that easily. Continental has by the way withdrawn all their 727s. I'm sure it's a 727 which was owned or operated by a smaller charter carrier, Miami Air, Ryan or Champion Air or a private owned 727 is the best bet. Please report the N-registration and I can give you a complete ownership history of this Bush plane.

Maybe he scammed it from the Republican party. Bob Dole might have used the same aircraft 4 years ago when he ran. Somewhere in the deep dark recesses of my photo collection, I have a couple fuzzy pics of Dole's rented 727 at MSY.

I believe the plane is a Miami Air 727, don't know the registration number, though
