Alitalia Cargo Now Flying To Miami

Thu May 17, 2007 12:53 am

Alitalia Cargo will begin service to Miami Friday, 18 May, offering a new weekly MD-11F service to Milan Malpensa. They have reached a cooperation agreement with Centurion Air Cargo to feed the flight to Latin America. This is in addition to Alitalia's daily passenger service to Milan from Miami.

That is a very interesting development for Cargo. There is a lot of perishable business to MXP from
MIA, Flowers and vegetables so this should be a well sought after service.
Mark, is this the first scheduled service for Centurion? I thought they only did ACMI flights out of MIA?
Will the Flights to Central/South America also carry an AZ flight number?

It will be so cool to see the AZ MD-11 back in MIA!

It will be a MUST for spotting!

Thanks for the news!
Flying isn't dangerous. Crashing is what's dangerous!
