Qatar Airways To EWR/IAD

Sat May 19, 2007 3:53 pm

I noticed, while making an inquiry on its website, that QR is flying A330-200s to EWR, rather than (as I had expected) A340-600s.

Given the above schedule, I'm assuming that there is an intermediate stop. Can anyone tell me where this will be?

Washington will be daily nonstop, with A340-600s:

Can't help wondering if the schedule might undermine the acft's performance somewhat; as Noel Coward famously wrote, "Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun"; presumably we can amend that to include Qatari Airbuses.

DOH-IAD is a pretty long trip. Other M/E carriers, like Etihad and Saudi Arabian, operate their ULH flights in the early hours of the morning.
