AS Loads Out Of Denver Tomorrow

Wed May 23, 2007 11:23 pm

I'm scheduled on the last flight out of Denver tomorrow evening:

ITINERARY
Thursday, May 24, 2007
Alaska Airlines #525
Depart: Denver (DEN) at 7:23 p.m
Arrive: Seattle (SEA) at 9:12 p.m

I then go on to MFR:

Thursday, May 24, 2007
Alaska Airlines #2461
Operated by Horizon Air
Depart: Seattle (SEA) at 10:35 p.m
Arrive: Medford (MFR) at 11:55 p.m

I would like to get on stand-by earlier but every time I call customer service I get a different story. So I come here looking for the truth.  wink

I have been told there is room on the DEN flights, the earlier flights are all oversold, my flight is oversold, I have no chance, I have a good chance, I may have a chance, etc. All I need to know is what are my chances getting on stand-by on an earlier flight. I'm sure that once I get to SEA or even PDX that I can get a flight down to MFR earlier.

HELP!!!

Flight 525 is oversold
Flight 2461 is 2/3 full

Sorry I don't think I can give you exact number. But I know our Denver flights do fantastic.

Thanks for the replies.

Do I have any chance of trying to get out earlier on stand-by? Perhaps DEN-PDX-MFR or DEN-SEA-MFR?

Not sure if they'll let you take it, but in my expereince the PDX flights were generaly lighter than the SEA flights.
When in doubt, one B pump off

Flight 537 looks to be your best bet

Departs DEN 07:05 arrive SEA 09:01

Y Class - 9 open seats
F Class - 8 open seats

You could then either fly through PDX or wait for flight 2461 for a direct route.

All DEN flights are pretty full tomorrow....most to PDX are overbooked. To SEA there are some with a couple seats open, but nothing that I would call a "sure bet."

I know that this has to be the truth or else AS wouldn't be doing it, but I non-rev through DEN a lot and have not once been on a full flight, and most cases nowhere near full. Now I realize that a full flight means jack, so I'm hoping that financially its a big success.

Its going to be all up to the agent you get. I've always had great experiences with the Denver agents, but you could get one thats a stickler who will make you stick with your original routing, standby or not.
