Spotters And Airliners.net On Russian TV : )

Mon May 28, 2007 3:24 am

Today on Russian tv channel NTV show named "Aviators" was about plane spotting.

You can watch it here, only in Russian, unfortunately...
http://rutube.ru/tracks/65120.html?v=4a577d99dcc3d2e2d21c38a20c36e2c6

Starting from 9th minute you can see a part about photo-spotters. May be somebody will realise themselves : ) (There are interviews with spotters at LHR an AMS as well).

First part is quite interesting too - it was about video spotting, almost about the guy who is filming fighters during airshow. There are some outstanding video.

Last part was about "home video". You can see some crazy Russian pilots flying 15 meters over the city. : )))))

Hope t will be interesting and somebody will find his face. : ))))

Cmon, dont start things off. What you say is quite now true. 15 meters? they are not that crazy. And for those who dont understand russian the pilot comments the sitiuation this way - they were flying in Moscow region and lost orientation (dont ask me how). And they flew over distant part of Moscow city. And they had to get away not to be shot down

LH648, mate, i hate people trying to make some reputation "smelling" way. Dont behave yourself as a worst journalists...

About spotters part. There are two airports where the video was shot at. 1st is DME, which held "special" action on 22nd of may. They invited russian spotters to take pictures so they can choose some for their "exebition" inside the airport. 2nd you can see SVO. Two guys were prohibited to take pictures from the inside: Fyodor Borisov (the guy with moustache) and Max "Foxbat" Bryansky.
Any other questions ))

I'm just telling what I saw. I saw crazy guys, who didn't wanted their names to be named, and flying extremely low over the road and the city. More over, they was flying over city, where are the flight are prohibited.

And please first of all don't say to others how to behave - first of all start to behave yourself properly.

Presumably in the badlands of ND and the wilds of CO you have no TV, radio or even the telegraph as you haven't heard that Soviet Russia was abolished in December 1991.

Which part of forgotten history have you come from?

Quoting LH648 (Reply 6):
I'm just telling what I saw.

You're telling lies. I saw it too. And they were NOT flying 15 m. above the city as you state earlier! That is called lies. Or you can call it "bad journalist behavior". If you're trying to attract attention this way - it's not the right way to do it. And that is what i told you. I'm not speaking about your behavior. I'm speaking about what you state here and that this statement is lies. Point.

Philb, forget them. Let 'em rot whatching these kind of "nothing-to-have-with-Russia" show...

What he said, the "In Soviet Russia..." is just a play on the old Yakov Smirnoff jokes. Obviously not to be taken seriously and certainly not evidence of ones knowledge about the current status of Russia.

Hopefully aircraft spotting will be a more accepted hobby in Russia from now on !

It was a good idea to show our hobby on Russian national TV, for more general understanding  Smile

Although I was not on the video myself, I did recognize a few 'rich and famous' AMS spotters, even our own A.netter JRadier !!!
don't throw away tomorrow !

Guys, you're lost in time or what?
Stop listening to all that propaganda... Spotting in SVO is smth like @ LHR. Later i'll put a link to a my photo to prove that.
Spotting has already become a mass attraction. Everything depends just on how to get to a place (and SVO is quite nice place just to watch).
