Wed May 30, 2007 6:21 pm

Apart from flights to the scilly Isles and between Malta and Gozo, is there anywhere else in the world that helicopters are used on regular passenger flights?

There's a helicopter shuttle between Hong Kong and Macau (or at least there used to be).

They fly the route in VFR conditions. Only in weather will they fly in SVFR or IFR.

Don't forget Helijet. They've been flying between Vancouver and Victoria for over 20 years.

Hi Cloudyapple -- would you mind explaining this to me? To this rather uneducated mind, it seems that you're saying "they fly it only when the weather's good, but when the weather's bad, they fly it under a different set of rules."
