AA Widebody At IAH

Thu May 31, 2007 12:26 am

This past Thursday I was driving myself to Terminal C at IAH and I saw parked on the tarmac to my right of Terminal D an AA widebody (either a 767 or A300) with a portable stairwell leafding from the main cabin door to the tarmac. Didn't know whether it was an emergency landing, random maintenance, or what. Couldn't find anything in the forum or in the Chronicle. Anybody know what the deal was? Thanks.

More than likely a weather diversion from DFW.

And with the weather at DFW today, IAH has yet more AA jets that are weather diversions. AA 1773, B763 MIA-DFW is here not getting ready to depart 15R for departure to DFW as is AA1091, MD92 from FLL-DFW that ended up at IAH.

Weather for sure. I flew in last Thursday, arrived around 8pm or so into IAH from DCA and there was still an American Eagle Em145 (N630AE) sitting on terminal D's ramp, about to depart back to DFW.
