Wow, so we now have an announcement whenever there 'may be' one new customer for the A350? This very press release shows just how many customers are not ready to sign on the dotted line for A350.

It wasn't an 'announcement' - it was a comment made to reporters at an event.

Stop being facetious.

Oh please stop with the senseless Airbus bashing at every opportunity, it's getting annoying. If you read the report, it's very clear we're not talking about a customer that 'might announce' an order, but one that might announce before the Paris Air Show iso at the show.

Which publicly listed (presumably larger) airline has financial reporting responsibilities prior to June 18? British Airways?

Well, Airbus is, more or less, forcing the potential customers to announce their orders at the air show... So, I'll wait and see.

How can Airbus do that?  Yeah sure

If the airline doesn't want to announce the order at the air show, what is Airbus going to do? Turn down the sale? Yeah right. Airbus can request delaying the announcement to an air show, and it's often in the airline's PR interest to go along and announce the order when all the media is watching. But if Aer Lingus (or who ever) wanted to announce this order early, Airbus could do very little to stop them.

No. Airbus said a new A350 customer "may be obliged to announce" before the show. This is for regulatory reasons, not because Airbus "forced" them to. I think you are reading far too much in to the statement.

No kidding... I'm just highly optimistic for new customers.
