VS 744 @ AMS Today (Saturday)

Sun Jun 10, 2007 2:32 am

Hey all, I was doing some spotting today at AMS and saw a VS 744 departing at around 5 o'clock pm (could be a bit later, can't remember exactly). Does anybody know what it was doing there? Most likely a diversion, as it's not the first time a VS aircraft has diverted at AMS. It did leave empty, it used very little runway. That could of course also be because it needed little fuel to get to the UK, but it seemed really light, so perhaps also no pax onboard? Anybody know what happened?

Think its painting or MX work - VS get their 747 fleet painted and maintained by (IIRC) Martinair at AMS.
What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

It is the usual maintenance flight. Expect it to stay at KLM E&M for a week. KLM does a lot of maintenance for Virgin.

OK, thanks, I did not know that. No wonder the flight was empty.
