Anyone know why this aircraft was scrapped? There aren't many other photos in the database of it, and they're all shown in a rather elegant colour scheme. Says it was an ER model too, you'd think it might have had some market value...? Was there some sort of damage done to it warranting scrapping?

Maybe it was sold to a company that is selling aircraft parts and all usable items got ripped out. My company sold a few smal CRJs to a Company like that, with the Aircraft awaiting the same fate. Actually the Aircraft is worth more more in seperate parts, than in normal conditions.

Just a guess though,

These 3 Austrian CRJ-100s have all been scrapped/parted out within the past year or so. There can be many reasons, Perhaps the leases expired and the owner determined there was more value in the parts than the aircraft themselves, and I don't think demand for used early-model CRJs is very strong (these were all built in 1995 and delivered to Lauda Air). They may also have needed major overhauls which may not be worth the expense if there isn't a strong resale market.

Seems awfully high, doesn't it? Especially for aircraft that aren't much older than 10 years...
