MUC-FRA, Any Turboprops On The Route?

Wed Jun 20, 2007 1:24 pm

Hey guys, I might want to make a connection from MUC to FRA in mid September, but LH mostly flies 737's or 320's on the route. Is there any airlines that plies the route with turboprops?

Thanks

Thanks for the info, but I guess the problem is that my travel date is a Tuesday, so no chance of flying a turboprop  Sad

most probably not, but if you are lucky enough you could get a A333 or A343 which sometimes fly that route for repositioning.

There have been sometimes even A346 on that route. Problem is that these assignments can change in the very last minute and you end up with your bog standard A320- or B737-family aircraft.

Since the summer timetable of 2007, LH has changed network strategy. Aircraft are now assigned to either FRA or MUC hubs. As a result there are practically no more re-positioning flights of the long range Airbus planes  Sad

The only wide-bodies on that route are the A300s I am afraid.

Kinda off topic but some LH people are viewing...

How are the A346's passenger wise? (Coach Class).

Im thinking of headin to europe next summer from IAH and LH on teh A346 is an option. (even though I hear a rumor its chaning to 744's and A343's depending on the day of the week).

Great as long as you bring along your own IFE  Wink

If you have some time you could fly via NUE - Contact Air operates ATR42/72 on the short MUC-NUE route.

yes you're right, the fleet is now hub assigned, but nevertheless we could sometimes see a repositioning flight. the last example is D-AIHC which flew MUC-FRA some weeks ago.

like already mentioned there is no IFE on board. if you bring your book and your Ipod with you, you will enjoy a great flight in a very modern aircraft and everytime friendly and professional crew.
