Nice Airport Railway Station?

Thu Jun 21, 2007 7:37 pm

Hi,

I seem to bet getting conflicting information on the railway station at Nice.

Is there a station there ? Would I be right in thinking it's called St-Laurent-du-Var

Many Thanks for your help

Amsterdam Schiphol in my opinion has a very nice railway station, but I suppose that's not what you meant...

Sorry, I just had to, as OPS officer I was always bombarded with bad 'How is the weather in Nice? Oh, very nice!' jokes.

Here's what I've found from NCE website. Hope this'll help.

Cheers.

St Augustin is not that far from the terminal, but there is a shuttle bus that goes to Nice Ville station (only takes 15 minutes unless the traffic is bad), and you have a lot more choice of trains no matter where you're going.

There's indeed a railway station close to NCE as JGPH1A pointed out. Only local trains stop there.
Otherwise to go to Nice Ville station you have the choice between bus line 99 "Direct gare", 4€, or bus 23 (take it at T1), 1,30€ (but it takes much longer than bus 99).

It's an easy trip over to the train station in Nice. I'm lazy, I get a cab.

Depending where you're going, I've also had a driver fetch me. My
destination is Beaulieu-sur-Mer, which isn't too terribly far.
