FlyGibraltar, the commercial airline that was due to service air routes to several UK destinations, will not be operating as it has been unable to deposit the £10m insurance bond with the CAA required to commence business. Fly Gibraltar is the aviation arm of OEM, the firm constructing the Nelson's View 'affordable housing' project, and owned by Irish property tycoon Robert Noonan
What I read somewhere, is that it was alleged that 'pretending' to set up an airline is a very good marketing ploy to sell properties.......obviously they'd be a more attracive proposition to potential investors.
(Am I allowed to say that? I'll soon find out)
