1 Month Until Airventure 2007!

Sat Jun 23, 2007 2:04 pm

July 23-29, 2007

Only 1 month until opening day of EAA's Airventure 2007!

The celebrations this year include Beechcraft, the Bonanza, and the U.S. Air Force's 60th Anniversary.

To commemorate its anniversary, the USAF is bringing:
* U.S. Air Force F-22 “Raptors”
* Lockheed U-2 “spyplane”
* U.S. Air Force C-5
* U.S. Air Force C-17
* T-38 jet trainers
* U.S. Navy MH-53C helicopter
* Air National Guard F-15
* Air National Guard F-16
* U.S. Air Force A-10s
* U.S. Air Force F-4 “Phantoms”
* Air Force Reserve C-130
* U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter
* Air National Guard KC-135
* U.S. Navy T-45

* B-17, B-25, Hurricane and Spitfire (Lonestar Flight Museum)
* P-38 “Glacier Girl”
* Yankee Air Force B-17 and B-25
* Commemorative Air Force B-24
* Grumman F7F Tigercat
* C-54 Berlin Airlift cargo aircraft

Also appearing:
* HondaJet
* Perlan Glider
* Gulfstream G550
* Goodyear Blimp

Looks like it'll be another fantastic show! Personally, I'm looking forward to the F-22s, the U-2, the HondaJet again, and the Goodyear Blimp... We'll be driving from San Antonio, TX to Oshkosh, WI. Anyone else is planning on going? How far are you traveling to get to Airventure? And what're you just itching to see this year??

I'm hopefully going to make it over from NJ... I was hoping to see the V-22, but I guess it won't be there this year
