SAS Now 100% Fully Owns Spanair Before Sell It

Wed Jun 27, 2007 1:34 am

SAS issued a press relase on 26JUN07 that it has reached an agreement with the minority shareholder in Spanair, Teinver, to allow SAS increase its share-holding in Spanair to 100% from 94.9%.

The transaction has been completed, which now allows SAS to continue its process to sell the airline.

Silly SAS. They should hold on to Spanair. In the long run this won't help SAS very much. Their problems are not because they are overly stretched or that they are too diversified.

Their problems are management and now management is making more problems. It is hard to fix the head when the head is the problem, but that is the dilemma they are in.
