Jetblue will begin to offer a new protection for all crewmembers, For the vast majority of JetBlue Crewmembers, should a Change in Control occur, and if your position is not rolled into the new company, you can expect up to 26 weeks of pay (3 weeks of pay for every year you’ve been with JetBlue, with a minimum of 6 weeks).
JetBlue’s Board of Directors recently adopted company-wide policies that provide protection for Crewmembers in the event of a “change in control.” While there are specific legal definitions of a change in control, simply put, these plans are activated only if the company is acquired by another company, and if employment is terminated.
