BA - A320 Exit Rows?

Sun Jul 01, 2007 12:41 pm

Hi All,

I remember flying MUC LHR last year I was in an exit row and we were delayed 2 hours on board, so anonying - anyway my seat didn't recline at ALL....(I was in exit row).

Now, do both exit rows (row 10 and 11) not recline or is it just row 10 as they have row 11 which is an exit behind them?

thanks in advance

Just the forward row of the exit so row 10 doesnt recline. Also row 9 a non exit doesnt recline . This is incase the recline goes in a emergency and thus blocking the exit and making it un serviceable.

Infact I believe all UK based airlines seats will not recline into a overwing exit row

No BAOPS is right. Row 9 and 10 do not recline at all.
The best seats are Row 11 which have the extra leg room, and full recline.

Isn't that common on all Airbii? I flew TPE -- MNL return on 5J this weekend. Both flights were on A320s and in both cases I got exit row seats -- row 12 on the first leg, row 14 on the return (no row 13 on the A/C). Row 12 had no recline, row 14 had recline (but the return mechanism didn't work properly). 5J's 320s have two overwing exits ... so rows 11 and 12 don't have recline.

I know a lot of the MD-90s I've flown have had the same situation.

Just my personal opinion but I'm quite a tall chap and wish that all of the seats in front of me didn't recline - someone putting their chair back in-front of me makes a bearable situation intolerable!

Is it just me or does anyone else find the row directly behind the curtain to be far better than the exit row as you get the 2-3 config and the extra width of Club Europe?

i ALWAYS try and grab this first on the 2 side but often it goes right away. If I am quick enough I am lucky.... but I am flying from Sydney on VS and then connecting to BA so I cannot check in online for BA... so I am just grabbing what I am able to for now!  Smile

The left hand 2 seats are good, but the right 3 seats are standard economy width.
